Urgent Call to Unit Commanders!
Major Bill Wood needs the following information from all reenacting units in
the Alabama Division of Reenactors. He needs the name and rank of each
member, their address and phone number, and email address if they have
one. He needs this as soon as possible. You may send this to him by email at
goboom@bellsouth.net, by snail mail at Bill Wood 908 Hillsberry Road
Oxford, AL 36203
, or unit commanders may contact him with the
information by phone at
256-835-7052.
Here's an important message.

This is a "call to arms"
of the reenacting community to help fight encroachment of the Perryville, KY
battlefield. Folks can also email to
cityofperryville@bellsouth.net if a
long distance call is not possible.

Two weeks ago the CWPT placed Perryville Battlefield on the top ten most
endangered battlefield list due to a development that is set to be built on
the edge of the battlefield.

This development was approved by Boyle County Planning and Zoning, but the
Perryville City Council still has to vote on it. You can voice your
opposition by calling city hall at 859-332-8361 they are keeping a call log.
The Perryville City Council will meet on this issue on April 3 at 7:00 P.M.
to vote on the development. Perryville certainly needs economic development,
but not on the edge of the battlefield. Please call now and voice your
opposition - we need you."

Many of you have passed numerous long, cold October nights on that
battlefield. Lets not let them down now. This only takes one phone call.

AC Users (almost 5,000 strong), we're personally asking you to pick up the
phone and dial 859-332-8361 to voice your opposition. Do it now. Do it
today.
