This is the home page for news, information, photographs, and updates
about the Alabama Division of Reenactors, chartered in 1986 and proudly
serving it's member units through out these 21 years!

It is our hope that you find this site to be a useful tool for information
important to the reenacting community of Alabama. We also hope that you
feel free to share your ideas with us as well.

The members of the Division seek to portray the life of the soldiers, sailors,
and civilians who lived during the conflict of 1861-1865.
*** ALABAMA DIVISION MEMBER LIABILITY INSURANCE ***

ALL full dues paid (Alabama Division dues) members of our
Member Units are covered effective January 1st of each year,
through our Lloyd's of London, NRA Sanctioned Liability Insurance,
including $1,000,000.00 Personal Liability Coverage, liberal
Property Liability Protection for our Division Sanctioned Events
(must be Hosted and Administered by an Alabama Division Member
Unit in good standing) plus each Full Dues Paid Member has an
additional $5,000.00 of Supplemental Medical Coverage at no
additional cost.
Urgent Call to Unit Commanders!
Major Bill Wood needs the following information from all
reenacting units in the Alabama Division of Reenactors. He
needs the name and rank of each member, their address and
phone number, and email address if they have one. He needs
goboom@bellsouth.net, by snail mail at Bill Wood 908
Hillsberry Road Oxford, AL 36203, or unit commanders may
contact him with the information by phone at 256-835-7052.

ALABAMA DIVISION SUMMER MEETING - AUGUST 7TH AT 9A.M. - JANNEY FURNACE, OHATCHEE AL

The annual summer meeting for the Alabama Division is August 7th at 9a.m.

Thanks to Jimmy and Brenda Freeman and the Chamber of Commerce for use of the facility.

Come bring event flyers, suggestions, and good news to the meeting.
It is with much sorrow that I must announce the loss of a good friend and fine officer. Captain Perry Holder of the 7th Tennessee, Company B Dis-Mounted
Cavalry crossed the River Jordan, near the noon hour, on July 23rd, 2010.

Visitation with Perry Holder's family will be at the Shackleford Funeral Home,  619 East Main in Henderson,TN. This will be tomorrow, Sunday, July 25, from
3:30-8 p.m. The chapel will open Monday at 8 a.m. with services there at 2 p.m. Should you need it, the telephone number there is 731-989-2624.  The obituary
